New update: RapidPlan & RapidPath 4.4

RapidPlan and RapidPath version 4.4 are now available. Watch the detailed walkthrough below to learn more about new features and improvements.

What’s new in the update?

  • Spatial data import tool: The import workflow has been redesigned and consolidated into one interface for importing external spatial data. You can now connect RapidPlan and RapidPath to ArcGIS Feature Services, select individual feature layers, preview data on your current plan, and import supported geometries such as points, lines, and polygons. RapidPlan and RapidPath 4.4 also continue to support CAD, KML, and Shapefile formats, which can now be added through the same import tool.

  • Custom service basemaps: The custom service map provider now supports both WMTS and ArcGIS MapServer services through one combined interface. You can use these services as basemap layers or to import aerial imagery by entering the service URL. Where required, API key authentication is also supported, and RapidPlan and RapidPath will automatically detect compatible configurations available from the service.

  • Cloud forward compatibility for local plans: Local plans created in the newest versions can now be opened more easily in older installed versions. When needed, RapidPlan and RapidPath support uploading the plan to the Cloud and converting it into a format compatible with the installed application version, helping reduce version-related issues when teams are working across different installations.

  • Workflow improvements: Several usability and workflow enhancements have been made across the application. These include improvements to multi-window workflows, custom symbol management, and moving objects between layers and stages, helping make everyday planning tasks smoother.
