New update: RapidPlan & RapidPath 4.1
The new version of RapidPlan and RapidPath includes several new features and enhancements designed to support your planning workflow. Watch the detailed walkthrough below to learn more.
What’s new in this update?
-
Georeferenced CAD Import: The new georeferenced import tool now supports CAD files. Seamlessly integrate CAD road layouts with georeferenced traffic control plans. All EPSG spatial projections are supported, with automatic reprojection for instant overlay on your basemap.
-
Extended Vehicle Library: Our extended vehicle library now includes national standard vehicles from multiple countries. The ‘National Standards’ add-on is automatically included in all RapidPath subscriptions at no extra cost.
-
Turning Radius Measurement: You can now measure the turning radius for each section of a vehicle's path. Simply highlight the path, select Turn Radius Mode from the menu, choose a marker style, and click on individual sections to add annotations
-
Location Marker Object: The new annotation tool allows you to pinpoint specific positions on your plan with customizable pin icons and auto-updating coordinates. The coordinates adjust automatically as you move the marker, even if grouped or transformed with other objects. You can also replace the coordinates with custom text
-
Batch Edit Location Markers: The Batch Edit Location Markers tool lets you export marker coordinates and replace them with custom text from an external converter, such as the New Zealand Mobile Road Converter
What’s improved in this update?
-
Zoomed View Box stage selection: The Zoomed View Box allows selecting a specific stage whose contents will be displayed. Using this feature lets you present objects drawn on another plan stage.
- Find and Replace Signs auto zoom: A new option that allows automatic zooming to signs selected by the Find and Replace Signs tool.
- Roads Import tool improvements: The predefined road styles can now be assigned to specific OSM road categories. Simply use OSM_category as name when saving the style, for example, OSM_secondary (the full list of OSM road categories can be found HERE). Additionally, lane count will be imported from OSM data (where available), and new settings are available for automatically including road names and speed limits in the Roads Import operation.
